"Where we put the focus is where the magic happens"
A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to be invited to attend a free workshop being run by Chloe Leibowitz at Be Your Best You, the workshop was an introduction into what coaching can do to help you transform your life. It is powerful stuff and Chloe is inspirational. Chloe gave us all an introduction into what life coaching is all about and then we worked through a simple workbook to give us an idea of what we might like to achieve from coaching ourselves and how Chloe could help us. Coaching isn't about telling you want to do, it is about empowering you to love your life and do what you want to do - maybe to find your dream job, lose weight, get fit or just find time for you. It will give you the tools to find a new found confidence. She then finished off by telling us about her journey and where she is now. She’s a busy lady but she proves that you can go out and get what you want and live a happy life if you want to. Nothing is impossible. We came away with a very useful booklet '20 Holistic Life Hacks' which I can't wait to study further and start actioning some of the suggestions. Chloe offers various life coaching packages designed to fit around what you want to get out of your life right now. She also offers a free introductory 30 minute session which you can book online. Do take a look at her website, Chloe can work with you in person or via skype. Her next free workshop is on 3rd November at 7.30 pm near Marlow. Chloe is friendly and approachable and you immediately feel at ease in her company. “Be your best, do your best, demand the best, expect the best, receive the best, and put your best out into the world so everyone can receive your best, too” Jan Sincero Get in touch with Chloe via her website - www.beyourbestyou.co.uk. So if you are going to do The Body Coach SSS Plan you will undoubtedly need lots of support – either from a friend who is doing it or one of the many Facebook groups that have sprung up. Of course the plan itself offers you access to a Support Hero via email for any questions directly related to the plan but for something more personal then it is a good idea to look to one of these groups. Angela Cox has become something of a mini-celebrity herself! Her transformation on the SSS Plan is amazing, inspiring and a testament to her dedication and hard work. She went from a size 18 ish in January 2016 to a size 10 now at the beginning of October. She has done the plan three times (she is currently on her third round). This isn’t something that Joe necessarily recommends but as Angela has followed her own exercise plan (for the second and third round) then it is more achievable – some of the exercise options during SSS shouldn’t be done more than once a year. So a few months back Angela decided to set up her own Facebook group ‘A Big Girl’s Journey to Lean’ and it has gone from strength to strength, mainly due to Angela’s likable and bubbly personality and her inspirational posts and encouragement. Her transformation is genuine and phenomenal. She also has a fantastic ‘admin team’ behind her who regularly contribute supportive posts and encouragement. She runs ‘theme days’ and encourages positivity and kindness to everyone. Whereas another group I belonged to tended to be a bit negative and could sometimes descend into unkindness and this made me feel uncomfortable. Every member feels they can post questions, however daft or repetitive, upload their progress photos and know they will not be judged; rather they will get encouraging comments and compliments. Angela is almost superhuman though! As well as having a full time career, a husband and family to look after and running this group she has also set up a YouTube Channel and posts daily motivational vlogs and has started doing some of her own HIIT workouts with the support of her PT. I really don’t know where she finds the time! But lucky for us she does! So if you want to start your own journey to lean, whether it is on The Body Coach Plan or another plan then do take a look at this group – it might just be the motivation you need. Good luck everyone. Love Michelle xx A Big Girl's Journey to Lean on Facebook I am not too keen on the change of season from a wardrobe perspective. One day you are in t-shirts and white jeans and the next it just seems inappropriate and too cold. We’ve been very lucky this year with mild and sunny weather lasting well into September but I still can’t seem to get my outfits quite right at the moment. I’ve put away my ‘high summer’ clothes and have got out from storage my ‘lightweight’ jumpers. I am busy sorting, deciding what to keep, what to sell, what to donate to charity. I’ve shopped online and I’ve had a wander around the shops too. I have a few new outfits but I am still resisting a complete changeover. I tend to move from sandals to ballet flats or loafers before I get the boots out but I usually have some new boots waiting to be worn. I will also start adding a cardigan then a scarf then maybe a heavier coatigan until it is time to start wearing a coat. This year we have the option of the cape or large wrap scarf which stretches out the need for a coat for a bit longer. I also find now is a good time of year to make use of leather jackets. I find them too cold when winter really sets in but autumn is the perfect season for a biker jacket. Here are a few outfits I have worn this last week ... I wore this outfit for a day out in Hammersmith. The jumper is from Boden and I wore it over a White Company vest top in case I got too warm! I like the button detail on the side that you can undo. Shoes are adidas superstars. I wore this for a life-coaching workshop I attended then lunch with a friend. Autumn is the ideal time to make use of leather jackets, this one is from Mint Velvet. As the day wore on though the sun came out and I felt I could have got away with less clothes! Bit more sun between the heavy rain for this outfit and I was taking my son to get some new clothes now he is starting a full time job. My navy jumper is new from Hobbs and I am wearing it with a Phase Eight scarf from last year. My loafers are from Russell & Bromley. I wore this casual outfit to go on a Segway adventure with my son by Bray Lake. My jumper is a knitted hoodie from The White Company and it is pretty old now but it was a good buy and comes out year after year. I have layered it over a striped vest top from Boden and a scarf from White Stuff and I wore Boden jeans and adidas superstars.
